Graphic Design Internship at HEMEX

An intern with 2 colleagues looking at the screen in the office of Hemex AG in Liestal, Switzerland

Noémie is a student at FMS Muttenz. She completed a two-week internship at HEMEX focusing on graphic design and has accompanied our team during daily activities. Here’s a summary of her experience written by Noémie herself.

I was allowed to complete a two-week internship at HEMEX. I was welcomed very nicely. They offered me a coffee, which was very nice😉. Juan, HEMEX’s graphic designer, was able to teach me some new things in terms of design. He showed me how InDesign works and how I can use it to create CV’s. Together we worked on the design of posts, program, nametags, powerpoints, brochures and mock-ups. He showed me that the work he does is varied and versatile.

It became more and more clear to me that I really wanted to become a graphic designer. During the two weeks, I also realized how much a good team can make and how important it is to have great people around you, even at work. I am very grateful for this opportunity and the experience I have had at HEMEX. I will totally miss the funny conversations. Thank you guys and hopefully see you soon.
